Artist's Comments

This sculpture is made of Copper, sculpey and wood. The robot consists of 136 pieces, all of which are copper and soldered together. The toilet, toilet paper and plunger are made of sculpey and the book is made of balsa wood and paper. I came up with this concept after working way too many hours over an etended period. It deals with the issue of time and the automated cycle that we fall into trying to feed, house and clothe our selves and our families. I believe, in our society, we are forced to run around earning an hourly wage and we often lose sight of what is really important in life. Money can pay our bills but it sure as hell can't buy back our time.

this is my favorite piece of yours. i like it because for 1 its your 1st piece and you did amazing on it and also it makes me feel that if robots were real theyd just be metal humans. thats what i see in this piece

Looks like you have some serious soldering skill... and a detail I really like is the saw-disk as the base of the sculpture :)
